Frederick County Battalion Chief Kevin Fox Named Deputy Fire Chief/ Director of Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services.

Vigilant Hose Company(VHC) wants to send our congratulations to Frederick County Battalion Chief Kevin Fox as he was named Deputy Fire Chief/ Director of Frederick County's Division of Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Fox has served as acting director since December, when former director Clarence "Chip" Jewell retired.

Director Fox has served as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician for over 30 years, including several leadership positions with local volunteer companies. His career with Frederick County dates to 1990, beginning as an emergency communications dispatcher and later, a firefighter for the county's Division of Fire and Rescue Services, the release stated. Fox has served as division spokesman for the last four years, and in 2015, was promoted to battalion chief. He also teaches part time at the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute.

Congratulation Deputy Chief/ Director Fox, VHC looks forward to the continuing support and leadership.
